Spiritual & Character Development

“If your religion does not make you a better man, it is a rotten religion.” —Oswald Chambers

Character is not genetic, it is learned behavior. Good character is essential to being a good leader.
Therefore, we are committed to providing an atmosphere where good character is valued, recognized and rewarded.
Our character and spiritual development program utilizes weekly worship services, one-on-one pastoral care and optional spiritual life groups to give cadets the opportunity to explore issues of faith. Cadets are taught the importance of service before self through a variety of volunteer opportunities in the community.
We believe that our spiritual and character development program will make cadets better people.
St. John's Northwestern was founded on the Episcopalian tradition. We recognize and respect the diversity of faith backgrounds among our cadets. We offer opportunities for cadets to practice their own faith and attend worship services of their choosing.
